A stamp shows Flowers and Fruits - Lilac. Lilac is a kind of plant of the olive family. The species has about 30 species found in eastern Asia, mainly in China, and in southeastern Europe. The typical species is Syringa vulgaris. Currently, syringa are called "lilacs", but this is a misnomer because the name refers to plants of the genus Sambucus. stamp features:
